Import-only 2007 CD single of this controversial song featuring The Indigo Girls, taken from Pink s I m Not Dead album. Dear Mr. President , one of the many standouts on the 2006 album, was co-written by songwriter Billy Mann and, according to Pink, it is one of the most important songs she s ever written. It is backed with a live version of the same track taken from her Live From Wembley performance (which is now available separately on DVD). Sony/BMG.

One of her worse - I enjoy a lot of the lyrics in Pink s songs but this one was just inappropriate and sadly ignorant of certain issues. She doesn t seem to know the President at all when addressing him or his policies. Not to mention she just mirrors current secular society that really doesn t understand consequences. This is the jest of the song especially in relation to moral issues. Yes, some of the lines are true and I do feel politicians rarely know what the average person suffers (I m sure the new president, Obama doesn t know either given both him and his wife are rich and have been for quite some time). But there was too much wrong with this song.

Dear Mr President - This is excellent. It expresses the frustrations so many of us feel at this time. I feel very lucky to have been able to acquire this beautiful recording on CD.Dee
